| Fall 2006 Tour: Paris and Provence

The Artist Cezanne died in Aix-en-Provence in 1906. This year, the City of Aix-en-Provence, the community of Pays d’Aix, the Ministry of Culture and Communication, the Region of Provence-Alpes-Cote d’Azur and the Department of Bouches du Rhone have joined in a tribute to his work one hundred years after his death. This will be done through exhibitions of his art and through venues of his life in Aix and surrounding countryside. The official web site is cezanne-2006.com. Cultural Connections has organized a trip to his birthplace and the region he made famous in his paintings: August 28-September 6, 2006. The ten-day escorted and exclusively-designed journey to Aix-en-Provence with two days in Paris costs just $2995. The total cost for the ten-day exclusive trip includes airfare from Atlanta, GA; three-star hotels (with breakfast) in the center of Aix (with swimming pool) and Paris Left Bank; the famous TGV Mediterranee from Paris to Aix-en-Provence and return; French guides and lectures on Cezanne’s work; entrance fees to view Cezanne’s work in Aix; evenings in French homes enjoying wine tasting and cuisine of Provence; and two days in Paris, with guide (optional) or free time. |
